Abstract
Although a specific migration policy cannot be identified in Türkiye, short-term policies have been developed based on the conditions of each period. The turning point in Türkiye’s migra tion policies began with the mass migration movements following the Arab Uprisings. During this period, Türkiye became both a destination and a transit country for migrants. As a re sult of the legal regulations made in this period, the migrant population in Türkiye increased significantly. The aim of this study is to examine how migration management in Türkiye has evolved within the framework of legal regulations since the establishment of the Republic, and to identify the continuities and ruptures in this process. The research argues that a profound paradigmatic shift occurred in Türkiye's migration policies following the Arab Uprisings. In the study, the laws of the Republic of Türkiye are used as primary sources, while academic li terature on migration is employed as secondary sources, and document analysis methodology is applied.
