Historiography of Kharezem Khanate in 19th century (Munis, Agehî, Beyanî)

Abstract

Today, libraries of Uzbekistan houses numerous manuscripts belonging to the middle Asia Turkish History. Written by the distinguished historians like Sir Muhammed Munis, Muhammed Riza Agehi and Yusuf Beyani; these historical masterpieces are essential due to their various features. These historians, contiuning the work of each ather, created masterpieces such as “Firdevsü’l-ikbal”, “Riyâzü’d-devle”, “Zübdetü’t-tevârih”, “Câmiü’l-vukuâti’s- sultanî”, “Gülsen-i devlet”, “Sahid-i ikbal”, “ Secere-i Harezmsahî” and “Harezm History”, about the incident that took place from the second half of the 17 th century to the early 20 th century in the Khive Khanate. These historical works written at the beginning of the 19 th and 20 th centuries have many characteristics which throw light on the middle Asia Turkish History. They potray a detailed description of the events which took place particularly since the reign of the Kongrat Dynasty. In this study, besides giving a comprehensive insight about the writers and the work mentioned many aspects of the political, economic and cultural life of Khive Khanate will be presented.
