Abstract

The purpose of this study is to adapt ‘‘Sustainable Leadership Scale’’ which was compiled by Dalati et
al. (2017) and consists of 10 items and one dimension to Turkish and and to perform validity and reliability analyses with the intent of revealing the suitability of the scale structure in terms of socio-cultural
aspects. The sample of the research consists of 280 academicians working at Kırşehir Ahi Evran University Bağbaşı Campus. As a result of the exploratory factor analysis conducted within the scope of validity, a measurement tool consisting of 10 items and one dimension in accordance with the original scale
and explaining 69% of the total variance was obtained. As a result of the confirmatory factor analysis,
it was determined that the model has quite high fit indices. Cronbach alpha value of the scale’s internal
consistency reliability was calculated as 0.950, AVE value was 0.654 and CR value was calculated as
0.950. In the light of these findings, it was concluded that the ‘‘Sustainable Leadership Scale’’ is a valid
and reliable measurement tool compatible with the Turkish cultural structure.
